Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MoneyHive, a personal budgeting service operated by Plannerday Ltd ("Plannerday", "MoneyHive", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using MoneyHive you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use MoneyHive. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
2. The service
MoneyHive is a tool to help you record your income, bills and outgoings and to see what is left to budget across your pay cycle. You enter your own figures; MoneyHive does not connect to your bank.
3. Not financial advice
MoneyHive provides budgeting tools and projections for information only and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Forecasts and figures are estimates based on the data you enter and may not reflect your actual financial position. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and should seek advice from a qualified professional where appropriate.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- MoneyHive is offered on a paid subscription of £3.99 per month, billed through Stripe. Plannerday Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel after first subscribing. If you have not started using the service during that period you may cancel for a full refund. By using the service within the 14 days you acknowledge that provision has begun, which may reduce or end this refund right.
- Except for the statutory right above and where otherwise required by law, payments are non-refundable for billing periods already started.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You must use MoneyHive responsibly and lawfully. The full rules, including prohibited activities, are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, you must not access others' data without authorisation, disrupt or attempt to breach the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Your data
The budget data you enter remains yours. We process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy. You can export or delete your data as described there.
7. Intellectual property
MoneyHive, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding the data you enter), is owned by Plannerday Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use MoneyHive for your personal budgeting while your subscription is active. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service except as allowed by law.
8. Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep MoneyHive available and accurate but provide it "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be free from mistakes.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under law (including your statutory rights as a consumer).
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Plannerday Ltd will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any financial loss arising from decisions you make using the service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using MoneyHive and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the service or other users. On termination your right to use the service ends; data handling after closure follows our Data Retention Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the service or by email, and continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales. If you are a consumer in another part of the UK, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Data Retention Policy, form the whole agreement between you and us.
- Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
- No waiver: failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor (for example on a sale of the business), without reducing your rights.
- Third parties: these Terms do not give rights to anyone who is not a party to them.
14. Contact and complaints
Questions or complaints about these Terms or the service: [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days.
